CALL TO ACTION

The Fair Budget Coalition’s Make One City Possible Campaign is planning a number of advocacy actions in order to influence wrap-up of budget deliberations.

  • April 30th Committee of the Whole Meeting:  Join the campaign at the Wilson building at noon for an advocacy action in conjunction with the COW hearing.  Email makeonecitypossible@gmail.com if you plan to show up and participate!
  • May 2nd & 3rd Twitter Carnival:  Communicate with the Council over Twitter during their mark-up period and encourage them to fund health and human services priorities.  If you are on twitter or if your organization is on twitter, contact the campaign.  Send the contact info and twitter handle of your organization’s social media person or of anyone particularly active on Twitter to makeonecitypossible@gmail.com
  • May 10th - A Day in the Strife:  The campaign will be doing a large-scale mobilization (and Council visits) on May 10th, demonstrating the hard choices low-income residents have to make every day because they don’t have enough support.  Meet on May 10th 10am-Noon at the Wilson Bldg.   Lunch will be provided. Let the campaign know if you’d like to help plan the event.
